Felt Fusion Flowers

Created by Donna Calley. Images copyright 1989- 2009

It is so much fun making greetings cards. I was talking to one of my customers last night who says that she has not bought a single card since she has purchased Stampin' Up! product. She has been having so much fun and was actually making a card when I phoned her!

I hope that you are all having fun making your cards, 3D projects and scrapbooks. If you would like to display one of your cards on my blog just e-mail it through to me at donnacalley@xtra.co.nz. Remember to feel free to phone me for any advise on product that you have purchased or are interested in purchasing.

When making your cards make 2 or 3 at the same time so that you always have some spares and are never caught short!!

If you haven't got a card ready and you need one for tomorrow, just remember that it is a lot quicker to make a card than it is to go and buy it and it is $5 cheaper!!

To make the quick card above I took the Bella Bleu designer series, selected the corresponding card stock (I used choc chip and Kraft), used several punches to add interest (eyelet border, scalloped circle, 1 1/4" circle). I used a dauber to apply choc chip ink to the scalloped circle and then used a piercing tool with my mat pac to add the interest to it. To finish off I used one of the Felt Fusion Flowers and clear rhinestone brad to bling it up.

Hope you have fun making your cards, scrapbook pages and 3D projects this week.

Keep stamping

Donna

Goodie Bag Wrap

Created by Donna Calley. Images copyright Stampin' Up! 1998-2009

This Goodie Bag Wrap is unbelievable simply and great fun to make.

1. Cut an A4 piece of cardstock lengthways, I used Bashful Blue. Your piece should measure 10.5cm by 29cm.
2. Use your Stampin' Around wheel to decorate it. I used the Classic Stars on page 120 SU! catalogue and Bashful Blue ink.
3. Using the scoring blade on your paper trimmer score half way, then score both ends at 4cm.
4. Use your bone folder to get a lovely crisp crease. Then punch out the neck of the bow with the Wide Oval Punch.
5. Overlap the two bottom 4 cm flaps using Sticky Strip to attach them.
Now all you need to do is to add your own embellishments.

Stamp sets: star roller, All In The Family
Ink: Bashful Blue, Black StazOn ink
Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Real Red, Old olive
Accessories: Blender pens, Poppin' Pastels, Real Red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Old olive 5/8"grosgrain ribbon, hemp twine, scalloped circle, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punhes, wide oval punch ( for the handle), medium cello bags, small and large Star punches.

Hope you have fun making this.

Baroque Revamp

Created by Donna calley. Images copyright Stampin' Up! 1998-2009

I made this card for my November workshop and absolutely love it. It is very quick to make, very stylish and fabulous.........well, it was until I blinged it up and now it is amazing! Though I am disappointed that the embossing doesn't look so good on the photo as in real life!

I have embossed the images by double inking the image (versamark first and then Choc Chip Ink). Then it was clear embossed and heated with the SU! heat tool.

I have then put a gold brad through the embellishment (though next time I'd use the clear rhinestone brad to make it really 'posh'!) and finished off using the ever gorgeous 5/8" choc chip grosgrain ribbon.

If you have never tried embossing you really must. It is absolutely stunning and so easy to do. And to make it even easier I have a special on until the 12th July, get 10% off the SU! heat tool when you purchase $50 or more SU! product. (Note: this offer is one that I am offering as an Independent Demonstrator and is not available anywhere else to my knowledge).

Stamp set: Barogue Motif (check this one out on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ there are over 2000 designs on there just using this one stamp set!!)

Ink: Choc chip and versamark

Card stock: Choc chip and Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Heat tool, clear emboss powder, scalloped circle, 1 1/4" circle and 1 3/8" circle punches, gold brad and 5/8" choc chip grosgrain ribbon.

Emboss Buddy

Tip: When using your Powder Pal trays, wipe your Emboss Buddy over them first. This will make cleaning the Powder Pals so much easier.
Have fun.

Embossing With Eva

Created by Eva Calley (based on a card from the SU! Impressions magazine). Images copyright Stampin' Up 1989-2009

This months theme for workshops is embossing (until mid July), so if you are keen to emboss, book to host a workshop.

Eva and I spent some time yesterday making these cards together . We stamped the Baroque Motif image onto Bella Rose Designer Series Paper using versamark. We then used white emboss powder heated with the SU! heat tool.
The funniest thing is that I preferred Eva's stamped image and swapped hers for mine to show in my demonstrations! She is determined that she will be a demonstrator when she grows up.
Hope that you have as much fun stamping with your family and friends
Have a great day.
